ANIMAL ACTION LESSON BOARD

This lesson, which is great for the little ones in your classes, focuses on using the music from the Carnival of the Animals and Language Arts objectives.  Here’s what you need to get started:

1.) Animal Action Lesson Plan – Geared for grades K-2, this lesson addresses both language arts and music objectives.

2.) Carnival of the Animals CD/Book – this is a great set for the classroom.  The CD accompanies a wonderfully illustrated story from the original Saint-Saens composition.

3.) Markers – everyone loves to color with markers!

4.) Chart paper – needed to write down all of your students’ ideas.  If you have a chalkboard or whiteboard, you could forgo this.

5.) Pencils

6.) Crayons – important tool for little fingers!

7.) Composition Notebook – a place where students can write their stories and record their illustrations.
