It’s already here!
After our most successful conference in July, we’re knee-deep in the process of planning for our Winter 2016 Connectivity Arts Integration and STEAM Online Conference, held on February 6, 2016. This means that we are looking for some excellent new ideas, resources and presenters to share with our rapidly growing Winter 2016 conference audience of over 1,200 educators. We are now accepting proposals for both 15 and 25 minute sessions at this winter’s most exciting online STEAM Winter 2016 conference event!
STEAM Winter 2016 Conference Details
This winter, our conference will be a 2-part event (more specifics will be provided to accepted presenters). We are seeking session proposals from arts educators, classroom teachers, leaders and teaching artists who use arts integration and STEAM to make learning an active student-led process. Our audience is looking to learn practical strategies, lessons, and specific tips for taking arts integration, and STEAM from theory to reality. This includes ideas on:
- Classroom Management
- Tools and Resources
in ways that authentically connect with Arts Integration and STEAM approaches.
Presentations must either fit into a 15 minute or 25 minute time slot. If selected, you’ll be asked to submit your pre-recorded video session and handouts no later than January 5th, 2016. Your responsibility during the conference will be to attend during your designated time-slot to be able to answer questions and engage the audience is a rich dialogue surrounding your session. We HIGHLY encourage presentations which showcase students or teachers using arts integration and/or STEAM in action, as well as providing quick pacing and handouts which are professionally compiled. No straight lecture presentations will be accepted.

Susan Riley is the founder and President of EducationCloset.com. She focuses on teacher professional development in arts integration, Common Core State Standards, 21st century learning skills, and technology. She is also a published author and frequent presenter at national conferences on Arts Integration and Arts and the Common Core.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the prestigious Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ and a Master of Science in Education Administration from McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. She lives in Westminster, MD with her husband and daughter.
