This year, we have been so blessed here at EducationCloset to continue to grow, share and reflect on Arts Integration and STEAM with all of you. We have written 260 unique articles, added fantastic writers, developed new books, conferences, services, and classes…and had a wonderful time building our relationships with each of you. Since this is the time of year for Thanksgiving, we have committed to paying the love forward to those in need of the arts’ unique care. Today, we’re kicking off our Boost of Gratitude “iEduCreate” Fundraiser!
We worked in partnership with CustomInk to custom design a t-shirt that speaks for Arts Advocacy while at the same time, benefiting those less fortunate in our community.
All proceeds from each t-shirt sold will be going directly to the Creating Communities organization this holiday season. Creating Communities is a small non-profit organization that served 180+ economically-disadvantaged youth in 2013 with an award-winning summer arts program, The Arts Mentorship Academy, several after-school arts integrated programs and the teen Youth Arts Fellowship which is designed to give 10th-12th graders intensive arts experiences as well as counseling and SAT tutoring. Additionally, this organization works with the mentally-ill to provide life-affirming arts experiences to this important population.
You can help us to make a difference for these individuals! By purchasing a $25 shirt for yourself, or a special artist or arts educator in your life, you are providing direct arts education opportunities for people who need it the most. We hope to raise $500 for this worthy cause and need your help to do so. Here’s how you can get involved:
1. Spread the word! Share this great cause and fantastic arts advocacy tool with others in your networks. We need to get the message out to meet our goal. It’s easy: just click your preferred social network below to share this post!
2. Gift this t-shirt to a special artist or arts educator in your life. These shirts are made out of ultra-soft cotton (these aren’t scratchy and they don’t shrink – this is the good stuff!) and carry a fantastic message about what we all do each and every day.
3. Wear these shirts with PRIDE as an arts educator and advocate! Purchase your own tshirt to let the world know that you are proud to support the arts.
We know that we can count on our EdCloset community to bring the arts to others in need and to share the message that the arts are essential for all learners. We look forward to your support as we boost our season of giving!
