For this week’s Free Friday video, we’re taking a look at the broad picture of the Common Core Standards.
We’ve all said and implied so much about these standards as they make their way into our schools. However, there still seems to be some mystique out there. This video is my take on what the Common Core Standards are, what big changes are occurring within Reading, Math and Writing, and how the Standards use the 21st Century Learning Skills Profile. Finally, we’ll take a brief look at how the Arts are the thread that weaves everything together and why Common Core is actually a great pathway for Arts Education and Advocacy. Please join me in the conversation around this important new issue!
