One of the great things about this platform is being able to share upcoming opportunities with everyone in real-time.  I found out about this upcoming conference and wanted to be sure to pass it along, as the featured presenter is Rosalind Flynn who was a featured presenter at our Connectivity Arts Integration Virtual Conference this past summer.  It looks like a fantastic opportunity!

Here’s the Scoop

Many universities and other educational institutions want to add online courses to the students they teach and those they hope to reach. But if your subject is drama or theatre – an art form that occurs with human beings assembled in the same space – how can you provide online instruction? Dr. Rosalind Flynn, head of Catholic University’s M.A. in Theatre Education and a Kennedy Center Teaching Artist, has been working with online drama education for the past five years. In this 90-minute session she will share ideas, tips, and examples from her own workshops and courses. Participants will experience an audio-visual guide to successful practices in online drama instruction while they engage in live interactions with the instructor and other attendees. The workshop will be offered twice, one session for the Eastern Standard Time zone and one session for the Pacific Time zone. The sessions will be recorded and made available to participants for viewing or reviewing after the live sessions. If you cannot sign on to the live broadcast, the recording will be available for purchase.
Technical Requirements: Internet access, microphone (built-in or separate), speakers or headphones.
Enrollment is limited to 22 per session!
